Ease of Use

Is it easy?
The product used for the payroll service is called chris21 developed and supported by Frontier Software. It is easy and intuitive to use. Drop down boxes, menus, and hints are instantly available and an on-line tutorial is available.

Statutory Requirements

Are these included?
Yes. Every year we provide customers with tested, reliable and statutory upgrades.

Accounting & Costing

What does it include?
You will AUTOMATICALLY receive a detailed ledger report containing a balanced set of Debit & Credits that relate to payroll processing. Apportionment of employee costs can be provided and ‘On-costs’ (employee and employer) are also created. Ledger interfaces to specific accounting products are available (at additional cost) and a Frontier Payroll Services consultant will be pleased to advise.

Electronic Filing

Is this available?
Yes. The software produces an electronic file according to Inland Revenue rules.

Leave & Absences

Are Leave Entitlements and Leave History available?
Yes. You simply enter any absence and the system will compute balances according to the statutory & company rules. Facilities provided will depend upon the service level purchased.

Banking

What options do I have?
Most organisations expect employees to have a bank account and in this instance, we provide an appropriate banking file containing an employee’s nett amount. An employee can have many different bank accounts whereby deduction amount will be used for extra bank disbursements. Employee deductions can also be paid direct to third party bank accounts

Disbursements

Can 3rd parties be paid electronically?
Yes, so long as creditor details have been defined with an appropriate bank account.

Cash/Cheque

Are these options still available?
Yes. The disbursement type for an employee will be chosen by you.

Allowance/Benefits/Additional

We have a complex environment. How many benefits can I define?
Virtually unlimited, and you can amend/add additional benefits at anytime.

Reporting

What reports are included?
The service level that you have selected will dictate the exact number of reports received.

These will include:

• Gross to Nett
• Ledger Reports
• Deduction Schedules
• Variance Analysis
• End of Year Returns
• Benefit Schedules
• Payroll Control

Security

If I choose the online option, how secure is the data?
Your database will be housed either in your company or in our offices in a secure environment. Access to the data is controlled by strict security rules and only those employees with security clearance have access to change the procedures.

Auditing

My auditors require an audit log, can I receive one?
Yes, an audit log is available either as a printed journal or an on-screen display of the report. This option will be determined by the service level that you have chosen.
